PHOENIX
When the news started reporting Canada-U.S. border crossing restrictions in early 2020, I packed my dog and a few things into my car and drove from Phoenix to British Columbia to be closer to family. When travel restrictions lifted a year and a half later, I flew back to Phoenix to pack what I left behind into two small suitcases and say a final good-bye.
